    Each large city has auctions, some weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. You can contact individual agencies (police, fire, etc.) to find out when and where.

  2. The money is for an auctioneer to be paid up front usually.
    Since the auction profits are used to sumiant the general fund for the sheriff’s department.
    If you were to buy a car at an auction you would need a license as a car dealer to et into the auction ($100-500)
    I do not know about your state or county but; some people are given a guest pass to the auction, by the Sheriff, it is s/ he’s auction.
