The police department in each city has an auction of cars which were impounded ( unpaid tickets or the car was seized during an arrest). Call the police and ask for the list of tow yards and auction dates. There were 20 cars at the June 16 auction but they were all pretty sad. YOu have 24 hours to pay after bidding. I asked what happens if you don’t show up with the money since they did not take a deposit. The auctioneer said that he won’t allow you back in the future if you don’t pay.
Also contact Manheim Auto Auctions for a list of their locations. ( i don’t work for them). They are the largest auctioneer.
