  2. I think you’ll have bigger problems when the CO asks WHY they want to take your car.

  6. It’s much easier than on the street. Show papers to MP’s, SP’s, AP’s. They will help. Then you get to stand tall before the Man to splane the problem.

  7. Yes it happens all the time at Ft.Irwin…usually the person c/o is contacted 1st so there is no problems and the soldier is compliant…and most of the time the Mps stand by.

  9. i am also a recovery agent in California, laws vary from state to stae,, in CA we usualey contact the base commander and vehicle will be surrendard ASAP, Marine Corps bases prohibit entry unless vehicle is a non runner, as for other bases , i have not had the privelege to visit them

  10. You’re the Answer Guy, and you don’t know? *L* Sorry, I had to take the shot.

Yes. Any property can be repossessed from an active military base. The company first attempts to make contact with the individual, then the individual’s commander. If neither of these actions provide results, then the company will send a representative to the (Army) Provost Marshall Office (MP Station), and coordination will be made to allow the company to remove the items.
