  1. Unless the auto shop holds the loan on the car they cannot repossess the car. Only the lender can repossess the car if you don’t make the payments. The auto shop can hold the car until you pay what you owe them or put a lean on the car so you can’t sell it.

  4. In all probability they would not have released the car without payment. Where is the repossession coming from.
