Has anyone used a government auction site like this: http://www.gov-auctions.org/ They need a membership fee and I want to know if it’s worth it. They claim to get you into auctions to buy cars for half their regular value. I thought an auto dealers license was needed to enter auto auctions.

They are making you pay for information you can get for free, yourself, from http://www.gsa.gov/

Government surplus and seized vehicle auctions are normally open to the public and are usually announced in local or regional newspapers on a certain day of the month.
The services you see advertised on the Internet sell directories of such auctions, but with a little work you can find the auctions yourself. If you buy one of the directories, make sure they have a money-back guarantee in case you don’t like it. See the following article for more details:
