  1. Ha…no. Cops have cars impounded/confiscated on the street of the US not from Japan and Europe. And the pool strips the fluff from these cars and retrofits the car with what ucs need to perform their job. Yes…there are cops in undercover confiscated sports cars (usually highway patrol) but they’re not imported for that purpose.

  2. They confiscate many, many things,,,Most municipalities demand they be auctioned off to keep everyone honest.

  3. First off, the word is ‘impounded’ – the police are not buying cars over seas then shipping them to the states.

Second – no. Its a movie. Its fake. Impounded cars are not in a nice pristine warehouse. They are in dusty, rough, outdoor lots.

  4. 90% of Fast & Furious is absolutely not how things are or work, not just police parts.

The selection you saw in the movie looks more like an import car magazine than an impound lot, and be careful when buying modified cars. You never know how professional the installation was and how safe the aftermarket (probably replicas if they look anything like the F&F cars) parts are.

Lambo door conversions are especially dangerous. Though they first move outward then up, the outward gap lessened. If the car was to flip over, you’d have a difficult time getting out.
