There was a time when a car could be a very boring place. Maybe you remember being a kid, especially in the days before laptops and decent portable video gaming systems. If you do, then you realize that there wasn’t too much to do for passengers. But all of that has changed, today its possible to put an A/V system in your car. Now while this A/V system won’t match up to what you have in your house, there is no doubt that having in your car is a serious step in the fun direction.

One way to trick out your car’s interior is to focus on something that won’t just look great, but will make your life easier as well. Adding video to your car or truck will not only make your life easier, but it will greatly improve the look of your car’s interior as well. These days, there are a seemingly endless amount of options for adding mobile video to your vehicle. So many options in fact that your head might spin a little bit. But not to worry, we will cover some of those options.

If you haven’t looked at what is possible in terms of mobile video, then you are in for a serious treat. Mobile video has taken a big jump in the last couple of years in particular. Headrest monitors have been popular for a few years now and with good reason. These cleverly designed car monitors are designed to pop right into the space occupied by your existing headrest.

This means that this customization can be done quickly, and you can get back on the road with a serious piece of technology in your car. Of course, the headrest monitor comes in various sizes and is commonly six inches or more across. This means that you can actually have a decent overall viewing experience. Consider this point for a moment; if you install a headrest monitor for each passenger in the backseat, its possible for everyone to have a great view. Few ideas can take the edge off a long car trip quite like adding a monitor, and this is a very easy way to approach the mobile video customization.

But let’s say that you need a larger screen. Fortunately, there are some very good options. One option is the overhead flip down monitors. These monitors can be found in sizes as small as the headrest monitors, but can also be installed in much larger sizes. Common additional sizes include ten-inch monitors, thirteen-inch monitors as well as twenty-inch monitors. Imagine having a twenty-inch flip down monitor in your car. That is some serious entertainment options for long trips or for those long waits in traffic. Many monitors are even compatible with wireless headphones. Regardless of how much time you spend in your car or truck the idea of having some serious entertainment options is an attractive one. Once you’ve installed a screen or two in your car or truck, you will have entertainment options that were unheard of just ten years ago.
