Question by inferno102189: has anyone bought a car from a government auction?
i have been doing research on car auctions, sites such as www.gov-auction.org show that cars such as a 2007 mitsubishi eclipse sold for $ 3500 is this true, and are these deals prevelant, if you have bought a car from one these auctions, can you tell me your price paid compared to the retail value of the car

  1. It’s not true. I went to an actual government auction in Chattanooga and prices were through the roof.

    Ex, 1998 Ford Contour – $ 2,500
    1995 Ford Aerostar – $ 2,000
    1995 Ford Econoline – $ 2,800

    Government auctions will primarily contain Fords, Chevrolet’s and Dodge. They mainly sell fleet vehicles. I would never do an online government auction because most are scams.
