How best can I retrieve camera gear stolen from me in Holland which are now on an Ebay France auction?

Camera lenses stolen from my car in The Netherlands 2 months ago are now on a Ebay France auction. I have reported to the police but they can only help if the seller is in the same country (Netherlands). Ebay tell me nothing other than to point me back to the Dutch police. I know the name and address of the seller. How best to proceed?

I’m not sure how it’s done in eBay France, but from what I remember in eBay US, you would need to contact the police about it. The police would then need to contact eBay about this in order for them to remove the listing.

Hopefully, this can at least give an idea on what else you can do in eBay France.
