I got a heads up on a police impound car, and my local police aren’t having an auction this year. I want to buy the car so what should I do? should I walk into the police station and ask if they have any cars that are for sale? or how else can I go about it? by state law there required to wait till they have an auction to sell the cars,,other wise they could sell them any time,,but all state laws say they must be sold at auction to the public,,good luck,,i hope this help,s.

dude go on craigslist.com, click on state on the right hand side and the catergory is for sale cars/trucks.. its great.. good luck
