  1. I know this isn’t exactly what you asked but 6 years ago I lost my job due to an injury. I couldn’t even attempt to make my car payments. my brother put an ad in the local paper pleading people to make my payments for me as it was my only transportation and I couldn’t work. The money poured in.You don’t know what your community will do for you…unless you ask. Actually, you don’t know what ANYBODY will do for you unless you ask!
My motto If you don’t ask for nuthin… you don’t get nuthin! good luck :)

  2. depends on the company. if you’ve missed 2 monthly payments i’m sure you’ve been getting phone calls. if you have it set up where you pay every other week or every week and you miss a month, they’ll come and take it only after calling you a million times a day. or they’ll try to get some form of payment from you. and they’ll show up whenever they want. it could be at 2 in the afternoon or at 2 in the morning.

  3. MY CAR LOAN WAS WITH CAPITOL ONE, AND WHEN I LOST MY JOB I WAS OUT OF WORK FOR 2 MONTHS I CALLED THEM AND TOLD THEM TO COME AND PICK THE CAR UP, BECAUSE I COULD NOT MAKE THE PAYMENTS. IT TOOK THEM OVER SIX MONTHS TO PICK UP MY CAR.

  5. I am going through the same situation. I lost my job shortly after purchasing my mustang, so I have missed several payments, although, if you stay in touch with the people that you owe and let them know what is happening, they will usually work with you by deferring payments, they will help you. They really want your money and not your car. So give them a call, its definitely worth a try.

  6. Multiple payments? You are probably lucky you still have a car.
