  2. Use a pre-printed bill of sale and fill in all of the information. Here’s a Google link. Click the first listing:

  3. Write out a Bill Of Sale and have the buyer and seller both sign it. Give each one a copy to keep.

List the make, model, year, color and VIN of the vehicle. The mileage and the date of purchase. Write down how much you paid and how you paid. Note all details regarding condition of the vehicle (torn seats, dent if right front fender, broken headlight, anything that you find) and clearly state any warranty, guarantee or return policy offered.

This will protect the buyer and the seller if anything comes up after the sale.
