If you feel uncomfortable driving your new car to your insurance agents office to get insurance, then don’t drive there.
If you think that there’s only a slight chance of getting a ticket or into an accident then, sure drive your car over to your insurance agent.

Don’t forget to copy down the VIN.

BTW; you’re NOT covered when you drive your new car there. So (just to be safe) borrow the other car that you’re covered.

Call your parents insurance company and ask them.

I have my own car & insurance. Im covered on any car I drive or buy for a few days without calling them.

You don’t need to bring the car to the insurance company to buy insurance. You can do that over the phone from the sellers house.
