My Jeep Cherokee Sport Keep stopping while Iam driving?
3rd December 2010
I just got a 1995 Jeep Cherokee sport from a auto auction.. The darn thing keeps turning off when I drive it a few miles. i have to pump the gas to get it to start, the steering wheel shakes a bit, then runs for a few miles before completely turning off. No warning likes come on, it just turns off and I have to start it again. Any Idea what is going on?

More than likely, you have a bad fuel pump, relay or regulator.A new fuel filter may be worthwhile. When vehicles are bought at auction, like this one,it was there for a reason.Check for engine leaks and check your gauges regularly for overheating and charging.Your system is OBD1,so the dealer,or service center, can test for codes. You could also have a cracked manifold,or bad ignition coil or module.

In simple words, start with a tune up then see how it does.

possible just needs a tune up- sparks, cap n rotor, maybe new spark plug wires… possibly needs new fuel filter

First check the battery cable’s to see if it’s bit loose for sure, if not the best thing to do go to a jeep dealership service dept to get a full diagnostics’s for about 100 dollars, it worth it and they won’t rip you off there.
