I bought a used car for more than K from a dealership, in good condition, but they only washed the outside and vaccummed the inside. But they turned in the car to me with removable stains on the inside. Should I go back complain and have them clean it properly?

  1. It’s really up to you. They did clean the the outside and vacuumed it for you. Honestly you should have said something that very day before you purchased the car and then there would be no problems. If you looking for fight, go ahead and contact them or if you clean it yourself and get done cheap, I would go that route.

  2. it would be nice but they don’t have to clean it. You must have looked it over before buying so if you had a problem you should have asked about it then

  3. Complain, they’r short changing you and hoping you fall for it.

  4. If you want to go back and complain about the condition of an ‘as is’ used car that you have plenty of opportunity to inspect before buying, you surely can. I doubt they will do anything about it though.

  6. Most dealers do, but some just push as many through as they can. Call your salesman and say something, since you didn’t say when you picked it up who knows what he’ll tell you.

If you didn’t complain on delivery, I wouldn’t bother now, is it really worth it? Clean it yourself or pay 150 for a much better detail than they can provide.

  7. At my families car dealership we clean our used vehichles upon getting them. We have a woman how does everything from cotton swabbing the crevices to scraping gunk off the plastic. We do get congested at times and vehichles that take more time to sell or customers generally care less about (like trucks to farmers) get pushed back. I’m sure your dealer will likely apologize but you should have mentioned something first. If you ask they would have cleaned it.

  8. Should they? Yes. Do they have to? No.

  9. You already paid for and took possession of the vehicle. There is no complaining now.
