A few years ago I purchased a car with a limited drivers privilege after a DUI. then a couple of months later I was stopped again by a cop and took me to jail for drinking and driving. He then towed my car. My case was dropped due to certain circumstances. I didn’t have enough money to get my car out of the towing yard and they said I needed a licence to get the car out. I called the bank cause they have the title. And they said there is nothing they can do, to just keep on paying the loan. So I’m still paying off a loan for a car I don’t have cause I don’t want bad credit. Is this right? Should I be doing this? or have I been had?

You need to honor your contract with the lender. If the car was sold, then the amount it was sold for should go towards the balance of the loan minus any expenses you incurred.

The loan and what happened to your car after you took possession are two separate things. You still owe money to the bank.

You still owe. And unless you want bad credit, you have to pay what you agreed to.

Or have I been had? WTF? You’re too stupid and too much of a drunk to own a car.
OF COURSE YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY ON IT!!! IT’S NOT THE LENDERS FAULT YOU GOT F*&KED UP AND DROVE AND HAD YOUR CAR IMPOUNDED…IDIOT.
So sick of stupid people on here. I SURE hope this is a joke or you’re some kid screwing around on the internet.

Why are all these people throwing stones like they have never done anything wrong or sinned We ALL make mistakes and we all have to pay for them My advice is don’t listen to all these idiots If you can AFFORD to pay the bank and still get another car then do it If you can’t then screw your credit you can build it back up later You need a car to get around and go to work unless you live in BIG city Just don’t EVER EVER drink and drive again Its not worth the consequences and you or someone else could get killed

If you are NOT joking, I suggest you read your contract and find us the clause that allows you to default on your loan because you suffered from a moment of stupidity and got the car impounded…let us know how that works out! This should be a very quick session in rading comprehension.
To answer your questions:
1. Yes. At least you are that responsible.
2. Yes. You agreed to do that much when you signed the contract.
3. NO! This is YOUR fault.
Glad to help.
