I want a nice car for a good price

I live in San Diego California and I want to buy a car but I heard that right here in San Diego car in auctions are pretty expensive cause of the mexicans that come to the auctions to buy cars, in other words, there is a lot of competition in here. So I heard that going more north like to LA or places overthere car are cheaper, so I just want to know if anyone know of a nice and cheap auto auction going north of where I live, so please help me out, its doesnt matter if its like 2 hours away from where I live

I need to keep the cars to repair and sell in the US.

and what are the requirements to buy there?
