Hi,
Im just wondering when you buy a used car do you bring a mechanic with you to inspect the car?
Also would you prefer buying from a dealership or a private seller?
Im kind of leaning towards the private seller because of all the stories about the dealers rewinding the mileage and rebuilding cars.

if i buy a car at a police auction the car is already paid off correct like the recent owner already had the car paid off or whatever, like if i buy it i wont have to pay someone elses payments will I i m so lost

I am about to buy a used car. Can anyone recommend a good model that I should buy as far as price versus quality / reliability?

Buying repossessed car?

I am wondering if I should buy car that was repossessed. Bad thing about this is I cannot test drive the vehicles since I will be buying it on online auction. (It is very reputable, Manheim). Usually manheim inspectors note any dashboard lights, unibody/frame damages and in case with this car it doesn’t seem like it has any problems.
So do you guys think that person who had this car before totally misused it and could have caused some major damage? Or if I get it I should immediately change all oils etc and it should be fine?
