My car payment was 3 months behind and I recently made the 3 month payment. But, my car was repossessed early this morning around 4am. I have a confirmation number for the payment and the car company is now saying they never received it. Can I take legal matter’s against them for this?

Give it back once people catch up with their payments? How may payments do you have to miss to get your car repod? Oh and are repo men basically theives? Do they have the right to take cars away? I ask because we were talking about repo men and how it works, and we couldn’t figure out if they resell the car, or give it back to you.
OK so do you still owe the money on the car, or do you just owe on the months you missed. Cause say you buy a 6 dollar car and you are supposed to pay 50 cents every month, and you only pay 1.50 on it, and they repossess it after 4 more missed payments. Do you owe 2 dollars, or do you owe the whole 6 dollars minus the 1.50 you paid during the months you were on time?

I am thinking about getting my first used car loan. If I go to a few different dealerships and they check my credit score for pre-approval for financing, does this negatively affect my credit score? If Dealer A checks my credit on Monday, and Dealer B and C checks my credit on Tuesday.. does this have negative impacts on my actual credit score, or report?

Thanks.

Does anyone have any information regarding reposessions? Basically I need to know, if I voluntarily repossess my car back to the company I got the loan through, do I have to continue paying the car off? Or if they repossess it do I have to pay it off still as I just need to get out of it and I know I wont get the price I still owe on the car if i privately sell it. PLEASE HELP :0(
