My car is worth about ,300 according to KBB. I want to trade it in for a used car because the payments & insurance are just too much for me these days. Can I trade in the car and walk away with a used car of lesser value without having to get into a new loan?

I used to hear radio commercials for dealerships (namely Hyundai and Kia) who offered a minimum trade-in value for used cars (usually ,000). I don’t listen to the radio any more, and I can’t remember who offered this. I need a dealership in the Dallas/Ft Worth area who will guarantee a ,000 minimum trade-in on an old car.

My dad and I are looking at used cars, I was just wondering. Are used car prices usually set, or can you haggle them like you do with a new car’s sticker price?

Looking to buy a used car. However, I do not have much money nor do I have any income since I am a student. I want to buy a decent car that will last New England winters. How much should I save up? At least 00 or 00? What should I look for in a car? Any tips on buying used cars? Any place I should look?
New England as in Boston, MA

Question by Mizundastood: How can I find out about upcoming car auctions in my area?
Im looking to buy a car and would like to go to an auction. Ive heard that you can get good cars for less than a grand at auctions. And another thing what about these car auctions that are online that want you to pay membership fees, are they legit??

You will need a license and when you get will get in mail all auctions.Online -No way!!! You will pay what a dealer does -KBB trade in fair condition as a guide. Also auction fee. If you want a less then 1000.00 car go to New car dealers and ask to go to the “pen” which is where their auction bound cars go. They would love to sell a 1000.00 car there then pay 200.00 to sell and more to get it there at auctions. Plus they usually take under 1000.00 cars and sell in bunches as some lose money and some make but it is a more break even thing at auction when selling. If anyone asks you to pay fee to bid it is scam.
