Ok so my car was repossessed about 2 weeks ago, thankfully i managed to get enough money to get my car back tomorrow from the towing yard about 1 hour away from where i live.

BUT the original towing company that towed my car before transferring it to another towing yard CLEANED out my car of all my belongings and other items. They told me it costs per bag per day. I had 4 bags of items and it’s been 28 days so total is 280+ invetory fee is 0.

Can they legally do that?? I pretty much went through hell to get the funds to get my car back.. i can’t afford this. And if i wait any longer i will NEVER be able to get my stuff back. I had a 0 video camera plus clothes and other things in my car.

Can they legally do this? OR any help/suggestions on what i should do?

Thanks,

My finance company repossessed my car and sold it for 00. How would they have disposed of a late model, low mileage vehicle for so little money and can the general public participate?

Hi I bought a car from Arnold Clarks on hp. Was unable to complete payments as had to give up job to look after ill partner. The Finance company reposseced car back in good condition. They sold it below market value and sent me a bill for £1345. Why should I pay this? they have thier goods back and is not my fault what they sell it for. They have there goods back why should I admit Liability.

I can’t pay for it, and my ex isn’t paying anymore. whenever i try to get money he flips out. i even have police reports from him threatening to kill me. It was stupid to sign for it, i know that, and i’m completely willing to accept the consequences of that. I’ve tried to sell it, but no one will buy it since the loan isn’t paid off so i don’t have the title. i’ve asked Chrysler for voluntary repossesion twice (in april and september) but they refuse. i’ve told them i’m not paying, but they are holding out either to ruin my credit even more, or because they think i will pay. I’ve asked them to reposses, i know they’ll sell the car at auction and i’ll have to come up with the rest somehow and i know that. i just want them to take it so i can start repairing my credit and i won’t have to have any contact with my crazy ex anymore. So is there any way i can force them to reposses?

is ther a time limit from when a car is repossessed to when it goes to auction for sale. Our car was repossessed in nov 2007 it was left uncollected at our property till march 2008 then went to auction and sold in Nov 2008
