Hi I just got a job and its an awesome job but there’s one problem. I work the night shift and they have given me shifts that end @ like 2am, which is bad for me because I have to take the bus and it stops running to my hometown @ 12am. So i need to get a car fast. I decided that I’m going to try police auctions. I’m just curious to how much i would save on these models compared to their standard retail value.

Model Suggested Retail Value (Excellent Condition)
1996 Honda Civic ,255
1996 Nissan Sentra ,810
1996 Toyota Corolla ,045

I chose these cars because even though they’re pretty old they are known for gas mileage and reliability and are not very expensive. Which is a plus because I need to get a hold of car as soon as possible. Thank you in advanced for the feedback

Me and my mom are buying a used car and me being more into computers then cars, I dont know much. She wants a toyota corolla or camery with around 60,000 miles on it. We are going to a used car dealer. What kind of price should i ask for and what would be too much? thanks for any help!

I’m looking to buy a used car here in California. A lot of people tell me to avoid dealers because of taxes and other fees, but about how much more will that add if I’m buying say a Toyota Corolla at around 11,000-12,000?

And also, if I look to buy from a dealer how can I negotiate the price? Or can I? Any tips to getting a good deal when buying from a used car dealership?

Ok my husband and I cant agree buy a used car that seats 5 we have 2 small ones both in car seats or buy a brand new small car . We have a new corolla and it only seats us 4 so we cant take nana or friends when we want to go on outings. This will be a 2nd car that we need .

My mother is planning on buying a used car. Her budget is about 5000. I do not have any great suggestions. She wants something small to midsize. She has already checked out a 1998 corolla with 68,000 miles and a 2002 mazda protege. Any other suggestions? I was curious if the ford focus might be a good choice. Thanks yahoo
