Question by honesty: Does anyone Know of any car Auctions open to the Public?
I live in Louisiana and i was looking for a car auction place that is open to the public. I don’t want online auctions.

Google “Public Car Auctions” in your area but you need to understand that most public car auctions are the lowest of the low, the bottom of the barrel, the final resting place of any used car that can’t be sold any other way. Most of the cars they sell are complete crap. Unsellable by even the cheapest used car lots. If it was a good car it wouldn’t end up at the public auction, it would end up at a dealer being sold for retail prices.

How to handle a 10-year-old thief?
17th November 2010
I asked a similar question a little while back, when the same kiddo was about 8. She has gotten considerably worse, not better, and I’m about ready to auction her off on ebay. I’d like to think we try to teach our children good morals, including NO STEALING. I have caught her on many occasions sneaking food or other items from me without asking, hoarding it in her room, etc. She has been punished, many a time, for it. Punishments have included writing lines like "I will not steal" 100 times or more, grounding or removal of specific priveleges. Once, when I was totally fed up, I boxed ALL toys up in her room and took them away.
She’s just as bad if not worse. And the frustrating part is there are times she is SO mature, and she’s usually pretty honest even when caught stealing. Some people told me- all kids sneak food, no big deal, etc. So I’ve been uncertain how severely to treat this problem. But it has gotten worse.
I got a call today from the school librarian because my daughter was caught stealing a book from the book fair, not once… but twice. The first time the librarian had her return the book and had a talk with her and said don’t let it happen again. She’s normally a good girl so she would give her benefit of the doubt. Then the next day she did it AGAIN- but this time wrote in the book so it couldn’t be returned. Now I get to pay for it.
I’m so beyond furious right now and at a total loss. The punishments she’s received- typical would be grounding for a week- just don’t seem to have ANY effect on her. She clearly needs to go to counseling so I have a call into the counselor- but I’d like some ideas for punishments that maybe might get the point across once and for all? Honestly, I would like to have her hauled off in handcuffs and stuffed in a squad car and taken down to a police station so she gets the point that this is where she’ll end up if this kind of crap keeps happening. I’m sure all kids take something at one time or another from a store- but this is getting ridiculous! HELP!
Just as a side note at the same time this happened about went missing from the money jar in my room. If she was going to steal my money she could have at least paid for the darned book!
Chris- would love to, but how?
Whooping doesn’t work with this kid. Tried that, too. She doesn’t care. So I quit doing that awhile back because it wasn’t working. Used to make her stand in a corner for a length of time for lesser "crimes" and it worked for awhile also. I’m not sure about the arresting ME part though. I’m not doing anything wrong so it doesn’t make sense.

What can I do to avoid my car being repossessed?
24th September 2010
I have a 2008 Dodge Charger. Back in May I was laid off from my job as an x-ray tech and have not been able to find another one. (I am currently eight months pregnant also) I can no longer afford to make my car payments and as you can guess my car is not worth what I got the loan for only being one year old. I still owe 23,000 on it and it is now only worth 17,500 according to Kelly blue book. And that is selling it to a private party not a trade-in. I do not have the difference to pay the bank in order to get the title if I did sell it. My family is not able to lend me the money and since I have been laid off my credit has went to crap so I know I can’t get a loan. Can anybody tell me what my options are? I know if it gets repossessed I will pay those fees and when the bank does sell it is is usually for so much more less than I owe leaving me with a huge balance to pay and no means to pay it. HELP PLEASE!
I am looking for a website that displays pics as well as prices to buy not auction cars from joplin, moimpound?
15th February 2010
I have tried and tried to find a website that didn’t give me the run around and want me to register a bunch of crap just to send me to an auction site. I don’t want to go through an auction process. I simply want to view what vehicles the Joplin, MO police department has in its impound lot and the prices with a picture of the vehicles and then if I see something I like I would like to go wherever the lot is and simply buy a car with no bs involved. Is there any website or phone number i could use to do this? Or do they make it much more complicated than it has to be or should be?
