My husband bought a car that his dad co signed for. its about to be reposessed. The bank told him that if they come and take it his dad will take the fall for it. they said they would sue his dad. are they lying to scare him or can they really do that? i had a car repo’d a few years back and never got sued for it.
first of all…his dad said to let the bank take it…he was the primary…not like we did anything to his dad
my father has really good credit. he has 3 cars of his own and a half million dollar house and all are current. i didnt ask for your opinion. i asked a specific question.

Salvage Car Question

30th May 2011

My dad recently bought a salvage car at an auto auction. He fixed it up and set an appointment at the state patrol for vehicle inspection in order to get license plates for the vehicle. I wanted to drive the car before the inspection, so I was wondering if I could get a temporary license or trip permit for my salvage title car until the inspection appointment?

I looking at purchasing a used car from an infiniti dealer and the only thing i don’t like about it is that the tires look a bit old and the windshield wipers are a bit squeaky. I heard from my dad’s friend that car dealers are required to change the tires/windshield wipers of a used car before selling it. Is this true?

Ok, a few days ago I got behind on two payments and my car was repossessed. I know it’s my responsibility to pay and I take that responsibility. I am a single mom and bought the car from so old "mom and pop" place while I was pregnant because the guy said that he "would work with me" while I was on UNPAID maternity leave for six weeks. He actually did not and got an attitude when I got one payment behind. When I bought the car it started overheating and found out that the radiator was bad and I needed a new water pump. He then came up to my job and took the air out of my tires to take the car. Two hours later the repo man arrives and tows the car away. My dad gave me the money to get the car back but when I drove it home yesterday I noticed that the steering wheel feels like it is out of control and is going to fall off at any minute. I have to drive my two month old daughter in this car and feel very unsafe driving it right now. Is there anything I can do? Is the repo man responsible for any damages. I am not trying to get over at all and if there is nothing I can do then I understand that. Thanks!

(this is my sisters yahoo account) I am a 16 year old boy about to take out a 1500$ loan for my first used car. If my dad co signs the loan, about how much would my interest rate be? By the way, my dad has excellent credit.
I allready have 2 grand, i just need 1,500 more. I can’t get a job without a car either… so saving up for cash isn’t really going to work.
