i am looking to buy a car in about 3 months, i don’t want any month to month leases. i just want to be able to pay cash and own the car. sad to say, i know the economy is bad, and i feel one mans loss is another mans gain. and i know people can’t afford to keep their cars or people are getting their car reposed. so far i have been looking at craigslist and they seem to have decent amount of cars but yet i am looking for the ultimate steel, i have herd a little about government seize or repo cars or auction, and i was wondering if anyone have any testimonies on how they got a good price on a car. i am in the los angeles area, and i have a good amount of car knowledge, i can fix minor problems, or do minor tune up on a car, or if needed i can change the breaks. so i just need to know where can i get a really good car for 3000 or less or better yet waaaay less in the los angeles area. if you have tried a government auction or any auction i would like to hear your testimonies or if you know of anyplace in LA where they sell pretty decent cars for cheap then let me know, i would really appreciate it

im going to take 4k 1)any decent cars i can get? 2)im interested in an impala as well. what year would i be able to get?

Well mine is more than one question.

How do you purchase a car at the public auctions?

What are the risks of purchasing a repossessed car?

And can you really get good deals and decent cars at auctions?

Ive been tempted to attend an auction but im still a little confused on how it works.
