My father in law bought a car from my wife’s ex 3 months before their separation. He has a signed paper by the owner that the vehicle will now be owned by my father in law. He also has documentation that he made a 10,000 dollar pay off on the truck. Believe it or not the shady guy comes and repossesses the car while hes asleep when hes been refusing to give the title up for over 2 yrs with convenient delays. Now this is very scary because hes desperate for money right now. Is there anything at all we can do to get the car back. Please help me out as this is time sensitive and a lot of lawyers are not giving us any answers we can work with! Thank you ahead of time.
It was basically a bill of sale. But he never gave him the title so he could go and get it in his name. Big mess:(
This happened recently btw around 24 hrs ago. The title has been in limbo for a long period of time.
