My friend's car was repossessed! Can she get it back??

I told her that she can, but she’s freaking out over having a repo on her credit. She called the bank and was told that the car has yet to be sold. It’s been about 1 month since the car was taken I think and she owes about ,000 past due. How much will it cost up-front to get the car back???
I told her that I would try to get an answer and call her again tonight, so she can get some sleep! lol

How can a auto lender report you if they never paid the car lot in full?

I have not so good credit and 4 kids. I purchased a van from a car lot under credit acceptance. It was a 93 dodge caravan that was a piece of crap anyway. I was placed under 300 a month payment with "FULL COVERAGE" LOL insurance. The people at the lot told me and the people at credit acceptance said "The dealer doesnt get paid until you pay". SO in my mind this was like a RENT TO OWN. I had to have the car voluntarily repo’d because it was too expensive, and not reliable. Now they have placed this in my credit report saying I owe them like 4000. How can I owe them that if they never gave the car lot the money in the first place? They also auctioned the car after I had them come and pick them up. This is unfair to me and doesnt seem like a real loan. I have disputed this already and they keep saying I owe them. Money was never truly lent on my behalf. Please help me understand what to do. Thanks

Barrett-Jackson car auctions, looks like a tea party rally?

I have watched the barrett-jackson auto auctions for a long while, i like cars LoL. But it never occurred to me until recently, the parallels between the tea party and barret-jackson auto auctions.

1. There isn’t a whole lot of color
2. They are old
3. Rich
4. Probably Republicans

I have never been to one of those auctions, but i did pass by a tea party, and from what I have seen on tv and from a far, these are the conclusions I’ve come too.

Are they valid comparisons?

Can anyone estimate a used car auto loan percentage rate with a score of 644?

I want to finance a used vehicle that is 11,000 dollars here in Florida. I have 2,000 down. What percentage rate can I expect? Is 644 a decent credit score? I’ve been at the same job for 4 years. I really don’t use/need credit until it comes down to buying a car (tired of driving cars I have to fix every month LOL). At what percentage rate should I walk away?

I'm stuck in a rut because of a car repossession … any suggestions?

I was young, (22yrs old) had 2 jobs and made good money. I decided to trade in my old junk of a car and buy a brand new car. I had no credit history so my then bf helped co-sign for my new car. My interest was sky high but I didn’t care at the beginning because I had no idea what I was doing. I paid a very large amount per month and then after about a year, I lost my main job. A few months after that, I lost my other job. I now was collecting unemployment and went through HELL to make sure that car was paid off every month. I started making late payments and my life was just a mess because not only did I have to pay for that car, I had the insurance, rent, etc. I was no longer able to pay my car and that day came when Mr. repo came knocking on the door. They took my car after 2 years of me working my butt off and they auctioned it off for SO cheap (almost had a heart attack at how much they sold it for!)

This was in 2008 and 2 years later, I’m still struggling financially in more ways than a hundred lol…I have really bad credit, I can’t even open a bank account and I feel like my once so organized and amazing life is now totally off track. I don’t know what to do. These are my questions:

1. If I open a bank account, can my lender seize all my money? Not a savings, a checking account.

2. Being that I did not pay the upside down on the car (,000) should I file for bankruptcy and is it too late to do that after 2 years? And for those who want to suggest that I pay off the 16 grand, I’m not because I’m not going to pay for a car I don’t have anymore and you might say well you’re stuck with it you should have never bought a car you can’t afford I don’t want to hear it because you don’t know my story. I want serious answers, not answers that are going to sound mean and not help.

If there is anything that I’m missing? Please, any advise would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance

Police car auctions.?

I am in dire need of a car. Lol. My car broke down and I have been saving money for a new one for a couple of months. I still dont have quite enough for a down payment but I am curious about police auctions.
Are the cars nice? Is it a rip off? I want a good car that will last for awhile.
I just need some general information on it, your opinions.

Question concerning financing a auto…?

So…in 2006 I financed a brand new Ford explorer. Currently it has a 0% APR and I’m 35 months into a 60 month contract. I owe ,611 and have 25 months left. Payments are 4.46 per month.

The problem is that it has 66,000 miles and the cylinder heads are bad. It’s going to cost me 00 to replace the cylinder heads which include 12,000 mile or 12 month warranty. OR I can buy a new engine for 00 which includes a 36,000 mile or 36 month warranty.

Would trading this in and buying another car be a good option? Would walking away from the vehicle and voluntarily having it repossessed be a good option?

What would be my best option if I have a credit score of 640 and income of 86K/yr?

Ideas? Suggestions?

I need a good car for a low price (max 00, I’m really trying not to finance a higher priced car), and I’m considering going to a police auction (although I know nothing about the process lol) but the thought that something terrible could have happened in those cars freaks me out. Do they tell you WHY the car was confiscated? Can you change the license plate number?

If you know about buying good cars for cheap, please give me any information you can, advice, websites? Anything!
