I’ve been looking at some used car deals, and it seems that for the same model car, the age is more a factor in the price than mileage. So if I see a car that has 50,000 and is 10 years old, it’s liable to be cheaper than a car with 75,000 miles but is maybe 7 years old. Assuming the mileages are accurate and both cars have been well maintained, why does the age make such a difference ?

Or does it depend on the make/model of the car or how well it’s maintained? I’ve seen alot of good used cars in my price range (3500-4500) but are over 100k miles. Please enlighten me!

If your are buying a late model used car through a dealer how much should you expect to get off if you pay cash! Australia only please. Looking at Qld. ,000 – ,000 asking price.

I am about to buy a used car. Can anyone recommend a good model that I should buy as far as price versus quality / reliability?
I’m prepared to spend no more than 00. I’m looking for SUV or sedan.

I am considering using a public auto auction to purchase a late model used car. Are there any sites that are knowledgeable and give real information regarding purchasing from public auto auctions?
