What would you buy a new larger used car ( camry size )for a family or a brand new small car on a budget?

Ok my husband and I cant agree buy a used car that seats 5 we have 2 small ones both in car seats or buy a brand new small car . We have a new corolla and it only seats us 4 so we cant take nana or friends when we want to go on outings. This will be a 2nd car that we need .
