I was 3 months late on the payments so I called the lender(wfs financial) and told them what was going on that I was between jobs but was starting a manager pos. with a firm very soon. I asked if they would roll a payment off to the end of my scheduled plan they agreed. Since then I have made double payments and brought myself current with my payment plan. I called them(wfs) the other day and they said that they had "charged off" the car and for me to turn it in to them. I asked why? what about the payments I have caught up on? they said …consider it like renting a car. Last night the car was repossessed from our apartment parking lot. Can I fight this? Can I get re-financed? HELP, there has to be a way to beat this……………..

I know when purchasing a car from a auction you buy as is. But I think I have been beat. The car overheated before I could get out of the auction parking lot, and it appears that water is in the motor oil. Do I have grounds to get my money back or am I stuck?

I recently bot a car at a police auction (and it runs!) for 5. I would get a great kick out of filling out a ‘police report’ and taking a black marker, and crossing out the case # names/addresses of ‘people involved’, and all other ‘important information.’ It would read something like this: At 12:03 PM, —— —— was sitting in a 1994 Plymouth Acclaim registered to—- —– in the parking lot of — —– Avenue. Victim was killed by 2 gunshots to the chest, according to the Medical Examiner —- ——-
– Officer ——-
OK. So would there by anything illegal about this? I can’t imagine, since there is actually no relevant information to support anything on this one.
I am pretty sure I will get many answers saying ‘Yes, I *think* it is illegal.’ or ‘No, I don’t think it is illegal, but I don’t know.’
Please don’t answer if you don’t know… plenty of other pages 2 get 2 points. Some girls believe anything, you know… Perhaps some ketchup as supporting ‘evidence’

I am a 19 year old male, never had a car, and I live in the state of Illinois. I am planning on buying a car from an auto auction for around ,000-,400. I was told I need to take a mechanic with me to look at the car overall, the one I'm buying that is. Plus I have done Carfax Vehicle History reports on most of the cars at the auction I am going to, and the car i want only showed 1 report, so I am looking to buy that car it's only ,000, but i was wondering do I have to pay additional fees or just flat out pay the ,000 at an auto auction. And what information should I ask for the title? and do they give you the liscence plates for the car? Has anyone ever bought a car from an auto auction for around this price range if so, let me know how it ran, how long it ran, and how much maintenence had to be done to the car? I would appreciate it, and do they actually bid for these cars at this price or do you just look at each car through the parking lot?
