Hi I just got a job and its an awesome job but there’s one problem. I work the night shift and they have given me shifts that end @ like 2am, which is bad for me because I have to take the bus and it stops running to my hometown @ 12am. So i need to get a car fast. I decided that I’m going to try police auctions. I’m just curious to how much i would save on these models compared to their standard retail value.

Model Suggested Retail Value (Excellent Condition)
1996 Honda Civic ,255
1996 Nissan Sentra ,810
1996 Toyota Corolla ,045

I chose these cars because even though they’re pretty old they are known for gas mileage and reliability and are not very expensive. Which is a plus because I need to get a hold of car as soon as possible. Thank you in advanced for the feedback

I am looking at buying a car at a pretty good price from someone who said they have no title for car. They say they bought the car at a police auction and have proof of sale slip they would sign over to me once I bought car. They say with this proof of sale slip I could go through all necesarry steps and get car registered with dmv in my name, but that it would involve me having to get a courtdate to get title out of old owners name.My question is would it be legal for me to slap a temporary 30day liscense plate on the car and drive it around while im doing all this? If anyone has done this before and can share experience it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Or in other words, how do I find out about any auctions in my area and do you have to know someone or pay to get in?

Does anyone know of any Government/ Police/Repo Car Auctions auction websites in australia or any links i can click on to check 1 out.

okay so im close to buying a honda from this guy. He says he bought his car at a police auction. he said he has legit paper work when he bought it.. have you ever bought one from an auction or from someone? what are the dangers? how hard is it to register?? please i need help if you have any info!! thanks!!
