Why You Might Consider A Honda ATV
23rd March 2010
By reading over this particular piece, I can imagine that you are looking to purchase a new ATV in the near future and you want to know if you can believe everything that you hear about a Honda ATV. While it might all seem positive, you are hearing things right. When it comes to great all terrain vehicles, you are going to certainly want to take a look at Honda.
As I said, there is a good deal to consider. There are so many different features, benefits, and technical specifications that you might care to learn about a Honda All Terrain that you might be here for quite awhile if I were to list them all. So instead, I have opted to list what many consider to be the most impressive or useful features about the vehicle.
The first thing that you should consider is the name that is on the bike in general. Honda has been synonymous with impressive vehicles of all sorts, from these ATVs, to dirt bikes, to actual cars and trucks and so on and so forth. Their name means durability and longevity to people, and you can expect the same when you are looking into their ATVs.
If you are a hunter or a farmer, or both, than these ATVs are built to cater to you exclusively. They have high tow loads and they work hard to get big jobs done without taking it out of you in the process. So if you want little racing bikes, Honda has those too, but not as many models as they do for those that work hard and need a machine that works just as hard as they do.
There are also some features and benefits that really make that job a little bit easier on you, whatever the circumstances are and whatever that job is. Some of these features are: the enhanced suspension, power steering, electronic shift control to give you more traction in the worst conditions, and powerful, fuel injected engines.
So, you might be among the millions of ATV owners in the country, or looking to buy your very first one soon. Either way, if you want a vehicle that is durable, tough, dependable and will last you for a long time, than you are likely going to be sitting on top of a Honda ATV when you get home again.
Looking to find yourself a used atvs? It’s about time you bought one of these exciting and fun machines. Select from among the webs largest selections. We provide anything from used Honda atv and all sorts of the most recent equipment.
What To Look For In A Chopper?
31st December 2009
One of the hottest trends in motorcycling in recent years has been the re-emergence of the Chopper as a main stream vehicle. Once the preserve of biker gangs you are now more likely to see a lawyer or a doctor cruising on his Chopper than outlaw biker. This resurgence has been fueled by a whole host of TV Shows such as American Chopper and The Great Biker Build Off.
Not since the heyday of choppers in the 70′s, no doubt fuelled by the iconic movie Easy Rider, have you been able to find such a large range of choppers available in either kit form or already completed. In this article we will attempt to guide you through the process of finding the right chopper that will give you years of service.
One of the first things you need to decide on is what kind of chopper it you want. Today there are basically three types of chopper that you can choose from.
The Bobber: This is what an original style chopper would have looked like and which were being built by US Servicemen upon their return home after the Second World War. This bike is provided with its distinctive by removing those parts which are not needed. Not only does this reduce the weight of the bike but also helps to improve its performance levels. Also to further improve its handling then lowering the unsprung weight as well as moving its center of gravity can help. Certainly the last couple of years there has been a steady increase in the popularity of the Bobber chopper.
The Pro Street Chopper: It is very easy to spot a pro street chopper. They have fat rear tires and long extended forks. The style is loosely derived from drag bikes. The Bikes geometry can make the handling an bit awkward on twisty roads but on a straight and away from the lights they really come into their own.
The Rat Bike: Appearing in the late 1970′s and early 1980′s rat bikes are like something from the Movie “Mad Max ” The philosophy behind them is to keep the bike on the road for the longest amount of time and spend the least amount of money possible. This often results in parts from other machines being cannibalized and added to the bike. Rat Bikes are almost exclusively Matt Black
When you have decided upon the style of chopper that you want the next step is to make a decision on the style of rear suspension it should have. You have the choice of either a hard tail or a soft tail. With a hard tail there is no rear suspension and the only comfort you will have when riding it comes from the springs built into the bikes seat. As for the soft tail this has extremely good rear suspension and so the ride is much more comfortable. If you are going to be someone who intends to spend a large part of their spare time riding their bike then a chopper with soft tail suspension would be ideal for you.
If you are interested in learning more about these bikes and to see what is currently available in your local area, then please check out the details for our store below.
If you are seriously considering buying a customized bike then make sure you go to Custom Chops first. At Custom Chops we provide advice on finding the right customized bike for you.
Why Your Caravan Needs A Cover!
19th December 2009
The potential damage that can be caused by leaving a vehicle outside in bad weather is well known. Would you leave your car out on the street when you can put it safely in the garage? You protect your car from the elements as much as possible, so it makes good sense to do the same with your caravan. Just like your car, your caravan needs care and attention, to reward you with many years of pleasurable caravanning and, when you come to replace it, keep depreciation to a minimum.
It’s not only the hail, storms and snow of a harsh winter that can cause damage. Rain contains the same acids all year round, from a light April shower to a torrential downpour, and a build-up of sludge and green algae on your caravan roof is not only unsightly but very time-consuming to remove.
As much as we all love to see it, the sun can also be a problem, with powerful UV rays attacking paintwork, tires and upholstery. Windows too can be subject to damage, as their rubber seals are perishable. Yet the weather is only the start of the problem. Birds might well enhance your caravanning experience, but they show no respect when it comes to where they leave their droppings! Consider also the potential for nasty scratches, bumps and even the audacious thief.
So, what can you do about this? Well, if you do not have space in your garage, and do not fancy paying extortionate storage fees all year, then a good caravan cover is just what you need. It can save you a lot of both hassle and expense, and leave you to spend your time enjoying your caravan rather than cleaning and repairing it.
Caravan covers these days have come a long way from being simply a plastic sheet. Now they are made from polypropylene, which is a versatile material that is both tough and resistant to chemicals, oil, grease and heat. As well as being strong, they are also flexible and totally waterproof. They will literally cling to the outside of your caravan, and stop even an absolute downpour from getting even a single drop of water on it.
So, if you consider yourself to be a wise caravanner, is a caravan cover something that you can really afford not to have? Add covering your caravan to your standard hibernation checklist of emptying the contents, leaving the fridge door open, and securing locking it up, and you will then have all the angles covered, and you will be giving your caravan (which is a far from cheap investment), the sound protection that it deserves.

7 Things That Affect How Your Car Insurance Rates Work
21st August 2009
It’s imperative that you know how car insurance works and how your premiums are computed. The precise formula for computing your rates may be concealed, but there are some considerations that will influence your car insurance rate. The following grounds will either raise or lower your car insurance rates, based on how risky your driving habits are.
The scope of coverage you need or desire will have an impact on your car insurance rate. Apparently, if you want more security, you have to invest more money. For instance, liability coverage is the least expensive car insurance compared to full coverage insurance.
The amount of your deductible will play a direct roll in how much you pay for car insurance. A deductible is simply the amount of money you pay before the insurance company will start paying a covered claim. The more money you are willing to take out of your own pocket before the insurance company does, the less you will have to pay in premiums. The less your deductible is, the more money your premium will be because the insurance company will likely have to pay you at some point.
You driving record also plays an important roll in you premium amount. If you are prone to accidents, the insurance companies will take you as high risk. This will cause an increase in premiums. If you have a good driving record, you will pay less in premiums because you are less of a risk to them. The insurance companies love low risk people.
Credit rating significantly affects car insurance premiums. A higher credit score will mean better rates with your car insurance policy. This is because you are deemed as less risk by insurance company if you are more responsible with your credit.
Where you live can affect your car insurance rates. If you live in a bigger city where there are lots of theft, then your insurance premiums can be higher. Insurance companies will give you a discount based on where you live, if you car has anti theft protection, and where you store your vehicle when not driving it. There is not much you can do about this factor other than driving a car that has more safety features.
Your age will determine the rate of your car insurance as well. By and large, the more years you spend in driving, the less your car insurance will cost. Teenagers and people under 25 years of age usually pay higher rates than other people. Seniors also demand higher rates because both teenagers and seniors are prone to accidents.
And lastly, the type of car you drive will have an impact on how much you pay for car insurance. The more safety features, how old the car is, and what type of vehicle you drive will allow for fluctuating car insurance rates. Make sure to check out how much your car insurance will cost when buying a new vehicle.
Hopefully these 7 pointers on car insurance rates will give you a better idea how car insurance works, and how rates are calculated. The more informed you are about car insurance, the better off you will be in the future.
Tips On Buying A Used Snowmobile
10th August 2009
A snowmobile is an important form of transportation during winter and in areas where snow and ice are the norm all throughout the year. Bear in mind that before you buy one, there are something you need to consider such as your financial capacity. If you need or think you need to own a snowmobile, think if you can afford to buy it and the costs that come with it, such as maintenance and repairs.
Most first time buyers bought a used or reconditioned snowmobile, as this is the best alternative for those who cannot afford brand new models. But that said, buying a used snowmobile does necessarily not equate to poor snowmobile integrity; you just have to know how to check the snowmobile to get the best value for your money.
To help you further with your search for that perfect snowmobile deal, here are some tips that could really increase your chances of nagging a good deal.
1. Do not buy the first snowmobile deal you encounter. Take your time in looking int other used snowmobile deals that are out there. Make sure you visit at least five snowmobile deals before making a payment arrangement and make sure you are comfortable with the terms of the deal.
2. Try to bring a person who really knows snowmobiles with you. If you have a snowmobile mechanic or a snowmobile enthusiast for a friend, you can ask them to help you reach a decision by providing you with the necessary information as well as their comments on the deals you have looked at.
3. Try to gather information on how the owner stores the snowmobile during off season. Storing procedures has positive and negative impact on the snowmobile’s performance. A very careful owner makes sure that his or her snowmobile is not vulnerable to rust formation and condensation during the storage period.
4. Ask the owner if you can do some test drive with the snowmobile. Owners who are really honest with the deal will allow you to see for yourself how the machine performs. If they let you, make sure you look at how the engine performs and also try to check other functions such as the steering, switches, lights, brakes, and power.
5. Try to check if the owner will discuss about the snowmobile’s history. Find out if it was involved in an accident or a crash. Ask the owner for any instances of malfunction while using the snowmobile. Then carefully scan the equipment and see if there are any dents or cracks in the sleds. Also, try to check if the handlebar does not jerk while driving.
6. Check the snowmobile for any modifications. While these additions and changes were done to make the snowmobile perform and look better, they were not installed to your specifications.
Always remember to go for a snowmobile that really suits your specifications. There’s nothing wrong to be picky, after all, you are making a big investment with your money.
