My mother has a 2001 volvo v70 she purchased back in 2001 with 12k on it. Before she bought it, someone had stolen the vehicle from the previous owner, and got in a high speed chase with the police. Somewhere along the line, the thief hit something and knocked off the oil pan, then drove the car til it stopped working. My uncles, who own a volvo salvage yard sometimes fix cars that they buy in auctions, and this car was one of them. They fixed all the damage from the chase, and sold it to my mother. Now everything ran fine for quite a few years, but recently her turbo has just refused to work. Over the past two days she has had her catalytic converter replaced, the header pipe, all of the hoses, and the turbo bypass valve but nothing has changed a thing. From what I have been told, her turbo charger is in great condition and everything moves and whatnot as it should, its just not giving any power. My uncles called two of their most knowledgeable friends on this sort of thing and both of them said there was a leak somewhere, but like I said every hose and line was replaced. Other than the lack of turbo, her car works just fine. Do any of you have any idea what this might be?
