3 Ways To Save Money At Police Seized Car Auctions
20th February 2011
Saving money at at police seized car auction isn’t all that hard. You just go to one in your area and bid on the car you want to buy… you save money by just going to one period. But did you know that there are a couple of things you can do to maximize your savings? Check out the list below to keep more cash in your pocket.
1. Get there early. By arriving at the auction early, you will have the upper hand when it comes bidding time. You’ll have had plenty of time to inspect each and every car that catches your eye, in addition to knowing which cars everybody else is interested in buying. Remember that the cars that get the most attention will usually cost the most. So, you can save a huge amount of money by bidding on the car that nobody else seemed to notice. It could be something as small as the color that kept most people away, which can always be taken care of.
2. Bring a Kelly’s Blue Book. Would you go to a car dealership without knowing how much a car is actually worth? The same goes for police seized car auctions. You always want to know the value of the car before you bid so you don’t let your emotions get the best of you. Bidding wars are common and often result in paying more than the car is really worth.
3. Be choosy. Just like bidding on cars that are not that popular, you also want to go to auctions that everybody doesn’t know about. Not only will you get lower prices, they also tend to have better cars. You can find exclusive car auctions near you by joining a car auction listing service. They charge you a membership fee to keep the site up and the listings exclusive, but it’s well worth the money.
So, when attending your next police seized car auction just remember to arrive early to an auction that isn’t publicly advertised with your Kelly Blue Book in hand and you’ll be well on your way to saving a couple extra bucks. It also doesn’t hurt to bring a friend along to drive you there and keep you company. Good luck!

Make Sure Your Insurance Premiums Don’t Get The Best Of You
8th April 2010
Car owners are constantly trying to find a way to reduce their auto insurance premiums. It’s truly one of those annoying expenses that feels like you’re just throwing money into a hole, that is until you find yourself needing it. There are some ways to help you lower the level of annoyance that your premiums generate each time you pay them though, the number one way is to make sure you’re saving as much as you can.
In order to find out if you’re saving the most money on your insurance premiums you first need to do a little bit of research to find out what you would be paying with other insurance companies. This is your vital piece of information that you need. There are some different ways to go about getting insurers insurance quotes.
I usually get all my insurance quotes online from websites that specialize in free quotes. One of my favorite ways is by going to a website that offers to give me multiple free quotes from only having to submit my information once. This really helps lighten the load off of the work I’m doing on checking to see if I’m saving the most on my insurance premiums. The other way to go about finding free auto insurance quotes online is by going to individual insurers websites and receiving quotes from them.
Discounts are another great way to reduce your insurance premiums. They offer the ability to save large amounts of money on your auto insurance & are generally easy to come by. In fact some states require insurers to give you discounts if you take a defensive driving course. A couple other common discounts are good student discounts & good driver discounts as well as more. So you should definitely check to see if you are eligible for any of discounts insurers offer.
Also some other great ways to save money on your insurance premiums is by talking to your insurer & finding out what you can do to save money. Many times you can do something as simple as changing the deductible. In fact increasing your deductible is generally the easiest and fastest way to start saving money on your insurers insurance premiums. Overall just remember to keep doing everything you can to maximize your insurance savings.

Police car auctions.?
18th September 2009
I am in dire need of a car. Lol. My car broke down and I have been saving money for a new one for a couple of months. I still dont have quite enough for a down payment but I am curious about police auctions.
Are the cars nice? Is it a rip off? I want a good car that will last for awhile.
I just need some general information on it, your opinions.
Thanks everyone!
=)
