Ok so my car was repossessed about 2 weeks ago, thankfully i managed to get enough money to get my car back tomorrow from the towing yard about 1 hour away from where i live.

BUT the original towing company that towed my car before transferring it to another towing yard CLEANED out my car of all my belongings and other items. They told me it costs per bag per day. I had 4 bags of items and it’s been 28 days so total is 280+ invetory fee is 0.

Can they legally do that?? I pretty much went through hell to get the funds to get my car back.. i can’t afford this. And if i wait any longer i will NEVER be able to get my stuff back. I had a 0 video camera plus clothes and other things in my car.

Can they legally do this? OR any help/suggestions on what i should do?

Thanks,

I just got my car from an auto auction and it has stuff written on the window and windshield with one of those special markers, how do i get that off?

Okay, please listen before making sarcastic comments. You don’t know my whole story and I am not going to go through the entire thing either (it is a book). I have fallen upon poor health issues and had brain surgery awhile back. I have not been able to work. I had a loan that I took out to help pay on some medical bills (I still have more out there that the insurance did not pay). I was making my payments every month and on time.

I got behind due to the lack of money and stuff. I have a child that come first. Well, anyway, my mother was a co-signer on my loan (I gave her some of the money to help her out on her bills too – long story). The car is in my name, but the place I have the loan through has the title to my car as collateral. So, now I believe they are just going to come and repo my car. How will this affect my mother? I mean will they go after her first or can I just let them have my car? She knows of the situation and does not want me to get my car repossessed, but I have no choice because I don’t have the money to pay on the loan for awhile. I even may have to file bankruptcy due to my medical bills that were not covered by insurance. They are that bad. I was trying to keep up with all payments but some of them will not accept payments and continually harrass me and tell me that my payments (doctor bills) are not good enough.

Any good advice would be appreciated, please no sarcastic comments.

Most people believe that the stuff sold at police auctions are from serious crimes, but it’s not true. Most of these thngs are seized by people for minor offenses. Many homes are seized from people because a small amount of pot from their teenage son was in them than a family loses their home and the police steal it and sell it to make a profit, the same thing with cars. In most cases a minor offense had taken place and the car is stolen by the police dept and then auctioned off. The police rely on this money to fund many of their programs. Isn’t this the same thing as stealing?
Lolwtf: I’d rather you raise my taxes. No one’s car should be stolen because they choose to use drugs. Using drugs does NOT hurt anybody and it’s their choice. Sorry. you’re stealing.
