Why do so many auto dealerships and banks want to repossess vehicles so early for hardly any reason?
29th May 2011
was reading in the news..how they will send a person with a tow truck to take your vehicle at the very first signs of not paying your bills on time and one time it was over the dealership saying that there was a dispute over the interest rates of the loan.
why they would gain from giving out a loan and then repossessing the vehicle? how common ?
and when became this way? and how in Britain vs USA? what many do after their vehicle has been repossessed and why?
please explain what you can
thanks for your answers!

Help re Repossessed Car in California?
10th December 2010
My friend just called me bawling her head off. A tow truck just took her car from her. She told me she was able to remove all personal belongings from the car before he left. She is behind two payments. SHE told me that the driver told her she has until this evening to send to credit company via Western Union or she will lose the car. I asked her what do you do if you get the money. Her response was I send it to the credit company and then I have to go to the Police Department to get my car. What?
My boyfriend told me that a repossessed car is taken by a tow truck and it is placed in a yard with other vehicles. He said she has time to come up with the money and pay it (along with any yard charges). He doesn’t understand the Police involvement.
Does anyone have the definite info on this? We live in Southern California. I am trying to give her the best advice and want to make sure I know how this works.
Thanks!
I appreciate the responses . . . (but Dave we all know to pay our bills. Seriously?)
I am asking for input. This is my friend of 15 years who I have watched grow up. I am trying to make sure what she is saying is legit.
Hopefully this will all work out for her in some way.
Again thanks!
