by Richard Milford

The term DWI, which is short for driving while intoxicated, refers to the consumption of alcohol. More specifically it is if your blood alcohol content, or BAC, is tested to have levels over 0.08%. That amount is equal to two beers or less in one hour. That is the legal guideline that the majority of states use so that they continue to receive funding from the federal government.

There are times that people who are high on marijuana or other drugs also receive that charge. Most times though, those that have consumed drugs face DUI charges, or driving under the influence. That is actually the same charge people have to face who get caught driving after just sipping a beer, but who don’t reach the BAC of 0.08. Even though those are two different charges, they have the same fines, penalties, jail time, points and need the same amount of money to defend.

When those that drink socially are caught, the fact is that they are put in the same category as more serious problem drinkers. The social drinker who maybe has one drink or two, maybe twice a year, are always shocked to learn of this rule.

The old federal guidelines, which are not as strict, are still followed in a few states which make their extra money with sales tax from restaurants and bars where drinks are ordered.

Because many borderline drinkers will opt to stay at home rather than have drinks in a bar, the heavy drinkers still take their chances and have higher BACs, in most cases, since they are the ones that the new laws don’t deter or affect any more than they did before. Many people argue that the police are spending more resources and tax dollars going after the social drinkers and not deterring the heavy drinkers any more than they did before.

Most states have adopted the .08% BAC, and the lawyers can charge quite a bit of money to defend driving privileges. There are other expenses involved, such as SATOP, the mandatory safety program for drivers that drink, in order to get their license back from administrative suspension. The inconvenience of the automatic suspension that occurs before you are ever found GUILTY in court is additional expense and stays on your record for up to five years, in most states on your first offense.

If you are charged, then a good lawyer is something you must have. Although you used to be innocent until proven guilty, that no longer applies to DWI charges. Actually, just by refusing the breathalyzer test you will most likely lose your license for a year and if you are found guilty of DWI, then you can also receive up to six months jail time for the first offense and up to five years for your third conviction. Most drug dealers don’t even have to fear those kinds of harsh sentences.

This is the main reason it may be advisable to get an attorney if you find yourself in this position. A drink with dinner can turn your entire life upside down. In some cases, drug dealers have it easier than the occasional drinker, with the stricter laws that have been enacted due to public outcry. More accidents involve drivers that have impaired judgment due to drinking, which is the reason for the crackdown and more frequent issuance of DWI charges, besides the Federal tax dollar incentives for more arrests. If you find yourself charged with a DWI or DUI, you need to seek legal help to protect your rights.

Lately I’ve been hearing my brakes squeaking really bad and I was wondering if it is time to get them fixed or if it would be okay to oil them up. That got me thinking about how important it is to maintain your brakes in excellent condition. So after some research here are some of the things I put together about maintaining your brakes.

You should be regularly checking the brake fluid. You want to make sure that it has enough. Make sure that you are also using the most appropriate brake fluid for your car.

When you are inspecting your brake fluid, if you notice that it has changed colors or is now fairly milky, it is time to change. Brake fluid, if it has gone bad, can ruin your master cylinder, a major part of your brake system.

Some people choose to change their break fluid by themselves if they are very familiar with car, or you could just save yourself the effort by taking it to a local brake shop to get it done. If you haven’t done it before it can be a pretty meticulous job.

The first thing you are going to need to do if you change the brake fluid yourself is called brake bleeding. Brake bleeding is really a must to get rid of all the air bubbles that can build up in the lines.

If you don’t bleed your brakes, the air bubbles will start to build up and your brakes won’t perform as well. This is often referred to as soft or mushy pedal.

It is usually recommended for two people to be helping as your bleed your brakes. I have heard and read of ways that you can do it with only one person and some special bleeding tools, but it is a lot easier if another person there to help.

Another good way of keeping your brakes maintained is to be checking the rotors and pads. Compared to the last procedure this one is a lot easier because all you need to do is take off the tires. If you can see that your pads are wearing down so badly that you can barely see them, it is time to get your brakes changed.

By checking up on your brakes as well as other key parts on your car, you can end up saving a lot of money in the long run. Maintenance is also Important for safety.

Mini dirt bikes are far less expensive to operate than their gas powered cousins, as in order to get the equivalent of a full tank of gas you have only to plug it into the power outlet in your wall for a few hours and you are ready to go. No more lugging around dangerous gas cans in the back of your car on the way to the dirt bike course or paying far too much a gallon to fill the thing in the first place! With an electric dirt bike, you can just pay for the cost of the electricity it took to charge the battery, which should run you up to 90% less.

Unlike commuter ebikes, range is not so much of an issue with a mini dirt bike, as you are rarely going more than 20 miles at a time. This means you can use the powerful motor to its fullest capacity, going as fast as you want and still have plenty of juice left over for another go or pulling some stunts around the course. The batteries take only a few hours to charge and then you can be off to the races again for another round.

Globally youngsters love owning mini dirt bikes as they symbolise excitement and adventure for the rider. These bikes can be started easily and can confer mud-covered paddocks and hill slopes during all weathers. Mini dirt bikes provide outstanding mileage even at high speeds and are super cool and fabulous to ride. These kinds of bikes can be gas powered or even electrically powered but they still provide good mileage which is one of its best features. These hot bikes are available in 49 cc, 50 cc, 70 cc, 100 cc, 110cc and 125cc. Excitingly, many models come fitted with attractive features like speed governor, that permits the adult to set a top speed at which the bike will go. Even the exhaust pipes are so well placed that it doesn’t disturb the rider in the course of riding.

These ebikes are fun, fast, and much quieter than those obnoxious growling things that go plowing trenches in the wild. Dirt ebikes are safer than gas, as well as they do not have any explosive fuel tanks or hot parts to burn yourself on. They charge up by plugging into the wall and the high efficiency batteries on these things are designed to work in harmony with the motor to deliver a steady supply of long lasting power.

Beginners are recommended to use a 4 stroke motor as opposed to a 2 stroke. This way the amount of power isn’t overwhelming. Kawasaki makes bikes that are ideal for beginners. Should you fall with the bike, which is unavoidable, you need to be able to pick the bike back up. As far as the height of the bike is concerned, you need to be able to put at least one foot on the ground. In some cases it is even easier to learn when both feet can touch.

Keep in mind when looking at used bikes the cost that may have to go into it if problems arise. Hopefully you are able to work with the seller and get them to be upfront and honest with any repairs that may be needed right away. If something breaks down after the purchase don’t fret. The same website you found your bike most likely sells parts along with cheap dirt bikes. This same outlet that you found your bike and parts will most definitely sell some sick gear also. Stay safe, have fun and keep practicing!

Honestly, there is less to check on a dirtbike than other vehicles, since they are relatively simple. When you are looking at used used dirt bikes, you will want to check the engine, the tires, the forks and head bearings, and the swing arm for sure. If you discover any problem like movement that is not supposed to be there, you can take a pass on it, or you can fix it yourself if you are good at fixing dirt bikes.

Many people find themselves understandably leery of making a purchase like a dirt bike sight unseen. While some sellers are extremely detailed in the descriptions of the cheap dirt bikes they are offering, and often these descriptions are accompanied by an extensive gallery of photos of the bike itself, there are some people that still like to kick the tires and give the bike a good once over. This may not be an option considering where the seller lives in relation to where you as the buyer lives, but purchasing a bike over the Internet does not mean that you cannot inspect the bike in person.

If you are looking for a particular bike and you have the time and money to restore the bike to a like new condition, then you might be less particular about the bikes current condition. In those cases, finding cheap dirt bikes online will be a very simple task. However, most people will want a bike that is ready to ride, and will try to avoid purchasing a bike that is in need of extensive repairs before it is ready to ride. While this could look like a distinct possibility with an online purchase, with a little work and little patience, not only can you find a bike that is ready to ride immediately, you can also possibly save yourself a good bit of money in the process.

If you a new fan of the dirt bike riding scene, going out and purchasing the latest and greatest bike from the manufacturer might not be the best move for you. I know when I was a kid, I tried participating in a number of different sports. For years, my mother drove me from soccer practice to baseball practice in the spring, football practice in the fall, and two different basketball leagues in the winter. If we had purchased the best equipment available at the time, we literally could have spent tens of thousands of dollars. After a few years of musical sports, I settled on football. The same principle holds true for purchasing a Used Yamaha Dirt Bikes.

If you are looking to pick up a bike, shopping on the Internet has clear advantage over shopping locally. First is selection. Using the Internet allows you to search by make, model, year, price and location, to find exactly what you are looking for. You can even find project bikes at screaming deals, for those who like to build and work on their own bikes. Sure, you could look around locally, and you might even find a few options. But you aren’t going to find near the selection and range of prices on used dirt bikes for sale that you will on the Internet.

by Susan Reynolds

4x4s are subject to special rates and different kinds of insurance that other cars don?t usually have. If you have a 4×4 you are probably already aware of these differences. The extra features of a 4×4 make it capable of more, and therefore need extra insurance to handle the extra hazards they may encounter. Purchasers of this type of insurance should worry about getting the right type of policy to cover all of their specific needs.

The type of policy you have will affect what type of coverage you?re getting. All types of policies will cover other drivers and their vehicles in an accident. You can also get policies that cover your vehicle and your passengers along with theft and weather damage. 4×4 insurance has similar properties as regular car insurance however there are some slight differences. The main problem is that you?re going to do more damage to another vehicle if you hit them than you would in a car. Since the estimated repair costs will be higher they increase the insurance premium you have to pay.

Another huge factor is that 4×4 vehicles are targeted for vandalism and theft more. This is especially true if you live in the city versus in the country. Since the insurance company has the city as a higher risk zone for theft you will pay more in insurance. It?s best to live in a rural area where your high profile vehicle won?t be as likely to be targeted.

Fixing a 4×4 vehicle tends to be more expensive than fixing a regular vehicle. There are a few different reasons for this. The first reason is that 4×4 vehicles have parts that are specialized and harder to find and thus they are more expensive. Another reason is because many 4×4 owners will add extra parts to their vehicle. While these parts may make the vehicle perform better, as they do with sports cars, they are not covered by insurance and thus are more expensive to fix. Some companies will allow you to insure these parts however you will have to pay much higher premiums to do so.

The biggest difference between 4×4 vehicles and normal vehicles is the fact that many 4×4 owners take their vehicles off road. If you have your vehicle insured for off road driving then you will also be paying higher premiums. If you decide not to pay the additional cost then your vehicle won?t be covered while you?re off the road. Many 4×4 drivers also take their vehicles to various competitions. In some cases it?s best to have your vehicle covered for the special event rather than paying an additional price on your monthly premium.

The insurance basics are virtually the same besides these few factors. You will want to check with several insurance companies to try to find the best rate for your 4×4. You should also review the policies of the various insurance companies very closely as they may have different policies regarding your 4×4 and its coverage.

by Karl Grutache

Buy here pay here car lots are increasing in popularity. This might have you thinking what are they and how are they unlike from regular dealerships. More importantly, you may be thinking if you need to know about them.

The most basic answer is probably. If you want to trade in an old car that regular lots won’t take, then you should know about them. If your credit has been beat up and smacked unconscious by the current economy, then you need to know about them. If you want a car based on your stipulations, then you need to know.

Buy here pay here car lots are not like most car lots; because they conduct financing themselves. There’s no stanch division between this and ordinary carlots. But traditional methods consist of working with banks or other third parties to get financing for your acquisition.

With buy here pay here car lots, the financing is done in house, usually through the dealership themselves. The financing is worked with the dealership by you, and you make payments exactly to the car lot. This has a vast gain because it allows the car company to be flexible about who they work with, in ways that a bank for the most part likely will not. Since buy her pay here car lots have become very prevalent, and they are the fastest growing type of lot, a lot of traditional car lots are now offering something parallel. Instead of saying buy here, pay here, they will say ‘we finance’ or something analogous.

This does have a downside though. Sure they give you flexibility, but normally they will charge you a higher interest rate compared to what you would get at a bank. Because they are willing to take extra risk, the lots are demanding extra reward.

But that’s not necessarily a bad matter. If you are struggling to get a car advance, then the option of not having a vehicle versus paying more interest is a pretty reasonable bargain. If you have little money or damaged credit, then these types of dealerships are ideal. At buy here pay here car lots, a purchase is dictated by how much you can afford instead of looking for the car you want and that tends to make the buying experience distinctive. The dealer typically sits down with you, and talks with you about your credit and finances, they may or may not run a credit report. They then help you map out how much you can afford and see what you are willing to pay.

Once that’s accomplished, you take a look at their supply to find a car that appeals to you. The cars here have a tendency to be less expensive, older models. Other car lots may not have the inclination to take on these cars, but they will, which additionally means they are better at seeing the worth that trade-ins offer.

If your credit isn’t that terrific, and you want highest flexiblity, buy here pay here car lots are an outstanding option. Not only will buying from here get you the car you need, it will also help in building your credit, which will make it easier when purchasing a car in the future.

What’s the deal with the Auto Body Shops? Everyone might be asking themselves that question. It’s just a matter of knowing what things you should know before you get mad or happy with them. Your car is too important for you, and you should know how to save your money on some items before it’s too late.

Your car has sustained $1500.00 in damage; your insurance company pays you less a deductible. You schedule your vehicle to be repaired at your neighborhood auto body shop. Two days before you take in your vehicle, you get a nasty credit card bill.

The customer is always right, I know sometimes this is hard to stomach, but unfortunately one happy customer might tell one our two potential or current customers, and an unhappy customer will tell twenty people. And there’s no worst thing for a business than the bad publicity through word of mouth.

A shop might want to utilize some reasonable concessions. Back to our example, the auto owner’s vehicle is inspected by the insurance company and is paid less the deductible. The auto owner takes vehicle to shop and schedules repairs.

The shop at that time could work out some concessions with the owner, such as usage of alternative parts, does this 2 year old vehicle really need a $400.00 original equipment manufacturer headlamp assembly, or would I be ok, with a $180.00 used (like kind quality) assembly.

There is a significant industry impact due to customers declining repairs. The local auto body shop now looses that work. That repair employs numerous people in the shop, numerous parts and supplies vendors, and keeps the industry on its toes with new technology and innovations.

These are all acceptable practices. You as a shop owner or technician, need to make the auto owner understand how important it is to get there car repaired. There could also be numerous safety concerns. The shop needs to explain to the auto owner about hidden damage, and the decline in value of their vehicle.

In this every changing industry, it seems that there are hurdles that constantly need to be jumped. A vehicle is the average American’s second highest valued asset; it always amazes me that people do not want to keep their vehicle in top condition. I think that a few tweaks with customer service and salesmanship, you should be able to get repairs lined up in this tough time.

by Graham McKenzie

An intermediary is a person you can hire that will find you the best deal on your next vehicle purchase. They are very skilled at knowing exactly how much a certain type of car is worth, and about how much a car dealership should be charging. They are very useful if you don’t have the time to deal with salesmen. An intermediary will usually charge between $200-$1,000 dollars to find you a good deal, but it varies for different types of cars. In the end, hiring an intermediary could end up saving you a lot of money.

The reason that an intermediary can do what he does is because he usually has deals that he has set up with multiple dealerships. This in turn gives him more flexibility when shopping for your car and allows him to focus on getting you the best deal.

You should be careful when you’re looking for an intermediary to hire. Sometimes you will find intermediaries are actually employed by a specific dealership which will lead to you going to that dealership rather than the one that will give you the best deal. You can ask them for a statement which shows who they are employed by and how they get paid. You should also know the price range for the specific vehicle you?re looking at. This will help ensure that you are getting a deal on your vehicle.

Many dealerships prefer not to work with brokers. However an intermediary has a huge advantage when he goes to a dealership as he can?t be bluffed or lied to by salesmen because he knows all of the facts. However they will know which dealerships will give them and you the best deals.

As mentioned before, be sure that you do a good background check on your intermediary before you employ them. The laws that govern their business varies from state to state, so it may be a good idea to ask for references There is always the option to hire someone from a professional company, which means you will be getting more guarantees and securities with their work.

The charges vary from car to car and intermediary to intermediary. It is more expensive to have them find a used car for you since there is much more data to consider. They will take into consideration the mileage and condition of the car in their factors to how much it is worth as well. They will also have to look harder for used cars if you are searching for a specific make and model.

Asking the right questions before you decide to hire an intermediary is important. You should take your time and find out the information about the company that you need to know. It?s also important that you know that it?s not illegal for them to work for a sole dealership. If you want to be able to get the best deal you will want an intermediary that works with multiple dealerships. Finally you will want to be open minded about working with an intermediary that is not local. Many intermediaries work from home and set up deals via phone. Even though they may not be local they can still find you the deal you?re looking for.

by Antonio Busing

When it comes to having your vehicle repaired, especially to having the auto body repaired, you would always want your vehicle to look great. However, at times, the auto body repair done on your vehicle might not be satisfactory or at least not as good as what you had expected.

They should ask if everyone was OK after the accident, generally, they should be more interested in your needs and concerns then their own profit margins. The sad thing is there are many body shops that are just in it for a quick buck and do not have the customer skills or even the repair skills to do the job you, or your insurance company, is paying for. So how do you weed those shops out?

Following are certain steps that you should follow if you are unsatisfied with the repair job done by the auto body shop:

Step 1: Talk to the manager or the shop-owner of the auto body shop you are dealing with, and explain your problem to them coolly and frankly. As most auto body shops rely on word of mouth, it is highly likely that your problem will be sorted out at this step itself.

All you need to do is explain clearly what you think is not repaired properly and what needs to be repaired. In case, the manager or the shop-owner fails to help you, move on to Step 2.

Body work is also important for your vehicle. Dings will happen and so will dents. Nothing takes away from the look of a car than body damage. Thankfully it can usually be quite easy to make your car look like brand new with a company that does good auto body work.

Ask if the body shop is on any insurance programs or direct repair programs, if they are ask why? the only reason I know why a auto body shop would agree to be on a program would be to get work that they could not get on their own. Again this does not mean just because they have a direct repair program they are not a great shop, but if they have 20 then I would be a little concerned? Ask them to explain.

Many car owners will buy an old car that runs great but has a bad paint job and structural damage. Within a few weeks of getting that car, they could be driving it down the road and no one would suspect it was rusted and severely dented thanks to the hard work of companies that do body work and paint jobs for cars in the Los Angeles area. There really is no better way to make your car look new again.

Your car costs you a lot of money and you depend on it to get you where you want and need to go. So, if something were to happen to it, you want to make sure that it is in the best hands possible. Choosing an auto body shop that will produce quality work is hard and takes time. You would not trust just anyone with your kids, why trust just anyone with your car. A car is for the most part replaceable, however if you spent money on it, and time to get it how you want you don’t want someone doing work on it who does produce that best quality work possible. Find an auto body shop that produces quality work to repair your vehicle.

As with other services, there are either awesome providers or really bad providers. Most providers fall in between those categories. Looking at, the important mess of a sports car to a motor lover, it seems rational to find the best care for your baby.

The first rule is how well the shop is known for its business. Talk to other sports car owners, your mechanic and others to find the shop that’s right for your sports car. A really good shop will be known by everyone in town.

Someone should stay far away from shops that don’t have a good word about them. Don’t be drawn to a shop just because of its big sign. So instead seek out other knowledge of experts who know of master body shops.

Next you want to see if they have any form of certifications for auto body repairs. You want to know that they have been properly trained on the best methods for repairing your vehicle. A certification can show that they are recognized as being qualified to perform auto body repairs.

The last rule is how firmly a body shop will stand behind what it has done. Bodywork can usually be finished in a way that will last forever, and a great shop should believe in what they can do for you.

If you still cannot find the part that you are looking for then you need to turn to the internet. On the internet you will be able to find any part that you can think of for any car just about.

You can find most import parts and domestic parts online you just go to a major search engine and type in the name of your part and or the make and brand of your car and then you will have results popping up on the computer screen. If you still cannot find parts after all the advice that was given to you here then you may need to look into updating. Are you in Cuba?
