My car was repossessed yesterday! I don’t know which towing company took it. The police told me to ask the financing company? So, the company is Nissan Finance… Now what…?!

I kinda feel like I answered my own question, but I feel I should ask none the less!! Anything else I should keep in mind? I have a lot of things inside that car with sentimental value :’o…!!

*sniff*
I kno it was repoed cuz the police told me it was when I called them. Whocarez, u’re the nicest person on Yahoo answers…!!

Also, upon further research beyond Yahoo Answers, they’re required by law to let me empty my car out for a certain amount of time, probably not long though, gonna have to look up Georgia law. Thanks Whocarez!!

I live in Tennessee And the interest charge was like 8000 on a 12000 $ car which comes out to like 40% [I know I got ripped off] it was three years ago 349 for 60 months. I paid for three years then lost my job and tried to get ________ to work with me when they bought my loan and they refused to lower my payment . I had been in default since Feb and my car was repoed two weeks ago and my mom just took money out of her retirement from her old job to buy me a used car and pay off hers . should I be worried about them seizing my new car for payment? im not going to pay a dime back no doubt, can they really go after personal property in Tennessee? I need real updated sources of information . judge me all you want for not paying the loan but please remember this is yahoo ANSWERS and I need one .

Odd question, but I’m just not sure how to proceed.
I’ve been getting phone calls from a Toyota dealership in my town (7 calls today alone) who claims that I wrote a bad check for about 0 in repairs on my Toyota. This would be okay, and not really a reason to ask the yahoo answers people, but…
1-I’ve never taken my car to this dealership for repair.
2-I don’t even OWN a Toyota. Nor does anyone in my household, I don’t drive, borrow, rent, or otherwise have possession of a toyota.

After finally talking to someone who didn’t seem hellbent on strong arming 0 from me, I found that the checking account the check was written on is an old account of mine that has been closed for quite some time. I didn’t realize I even still had checks from the account but it’s from my old account, complete with the old address that i’ve not even lived at for about 3 years, which is also an out of state bank, so I can’t exactly just run over to a branch and get some help.

I now live in NC. The address given to the dealership is not my current address, but is an address that i’ve lived at recently in NC. The check address is from an address in Ohio, and my bank is based in Texas. The dealership is telling me that it’s my information, so therefore I am responsible, and that if they’re not reimbursed that they will have a mechanics lien and repossess my car.
i don’t think they can do that, can they? And if so, wouldn’t they have to get the lien on this Toyota, not the car that I DO actually own? They told me that I need to file all kinds of police reports in NC as well as in ohio, too. In my opinion, if they took an out of state check without even verifying anything, that’s not my problem. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do here?

Question by who?cares: What kind of cars are at Public Car Auctions?
My dad wants to get a new car, (the one we have is junk), and my uncle suggestion an auction, what kind of cars are there, are the new or old, are they reliable, or are they junk?

Thanks.

haha dident i just answer this ??
o well public car auctions are repos,or just cars that the ar lot couldent sell you see a car lot can only keep a car on there lot for a certin amount of day (unless its private owned) and after that they send it to the auction or some times it can just be a car smeone traded in or even donated usally cars at public auctions are in decent shape and before the auctioin you get to go look at all the cars and you can write down what you thing about it and how much you will go up to it (make sure you bring a notepad) and also rite dwn the number of the car so you know the correct one to bid on and from there its just a game of cat and mouse you compete with other people to win the car and
TIP: dont bid straight out with your highest price make room to adjust your price if needed if you have any more question you can email me directly at todytoddtodd@yahoo.com
