The aspect of buying a Used Car is gaining momentum lately. The rising fuel prices and various taxations, shelling out extra cash for a new car is indeed a wasteful disposition of your money. Most of the buyers prefer a used car dealer which is indeed a nice option, but you should be aware of the fact that choosing the wrong dealer may endanger your investment.
Here are some questions that you should ask your dealer before signing the dotted line.
Ask the dealer as of why the owner is anxious to sell the car. If the owner is moving to some other place or is unable to pay the installments, prefer this car for it will definitely be in a good condition.
Ask the dealer about the car’s mileage, as it will provide you with the fuel efficiency of the car.
Ask whether you are entitled for a test drive. Test drives are essential so as to make you aware of the problems in the car.
Enquire whether the car has been in an accident or refurbished. If the answer is positive, try to avoid the car from your purchase list.
Make sure that you check the documentation thoroughly.
Ask for the history of the car, figure of owners who owned the car, prior accident history and various other details.
Check if the car was used as a family car or a company cab? Do not hesitate to reject the automobile if it is a company cab, for company personals have a bad reputation as per car handling is concerned.
Enquire the dealer of the cars, special features and the equipments that are installed in the car and make sure that they are in working condition.
Furthermore, check for the maintenance or service records for it is a substantial proof of the condition of a car and provides the knowledge of previous owner conduct with the vehicle.
