  2. I’m pretty sure you must have the same as you would if you go to a normal car auction. I believe you have to have a car dealership license.

  3. You will need positive I. D. That could be a driver’s license or state provided I. D. You will need a deposit, probably cash. You may be required to pay for the vehicle immediately.

    Other than that, there are not usually a lot of requirements.

    But, to be sure why don’t you call the auctioneer who is conducting the auction? If the police are selling their own auction, I would call them and ask. They would be glad you did.

    There are many different types of police auctions. There are abandoned automobile auctions. There are seized car auctions. The police departments hold auctions to sell their department vehicles. These could be executive cars, police department delivery vans, police cars, etc. Some of these could be low mileage.

    Be careful and buy a good one. Check the price guides before buying. Best wishes.
