I am not very saavy when it comes to buying cars. I’m thinking about buying a used car and I’m meeting up with the seller for the first time. What are some things I should consider in terms of the car itself (inspection) and making the deal? Can anyone with some expertise in this area give me a list of things I should consider in making the deal? Thanks!

  1. Look up the value of the car on http://www.kbb.com or http://www.nadaguides.com/ before you go. Make sure you get a clear title…no liens on it.

  2. First, for anyone who is buying a car check the mileage. For a used car , the best mileage for it to last a couple of years is around 75,000 – 85,000. If its over that, do not buy it. Next, ask the owner if he/she can get an inspection on it. If the inspection is not good, do not buy it. This is more general stuff. Have Fun!
