I was behind in car payments. Bank wants to repossess, but I am trying to catch the payments up. Are their legitimate laws that will allow the bank to file grand theft auto? Seriously? Not sure where to investigate this on the web. I would think this is civil, not criminal in nature…

  1. Well, you have a car that you aren’t paying for. Essentially, it’s stolen. You have something that is not yours and you are no longer legally entitled to possess.

The repo guys will find it. They will, they always do.

  2. You think you can just not pay and hide the car and it will be all right? You have to talk to the bank and see if you can work out a payment plan, or else you’re holding their property without their consent.
