What costs are involved in purchasing a used car?

Looking to buy a 2004-2007 used BMW 325xi or infiniti g35x, with mileage likely between 40000-70000. Max budget is about 000. First time car buyer. What will be the various cost that go into this purchase? How will insurance be affected? Is it better to buy from dealer or private seller? Any detailed information is greatly appreciated.

You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net
