25th January 2011
I have been actively looking for a used car. I am especially looking at Toyotas and Hondas. I cant go over 00 which limits me a lot. Where are the best places to look? Can you recommend any good websites or have any other suggestions? Please help! I am going crazy!

be very careful buying cars on ebay and ESPECIALLY craigslist. If you look at a car listed on these sites get it THOROUGHLY checked by a mechanic. i would suggest autotrader.com. They have both private and dealer listings. Also check a local paper

Buying by owner would be best for your situation. I’d go to craigslist or ebay. But if you do go to a used car dealership, ask for a vehicle history report or bring someone with you who is knowledgable in cars.

You won’t find a toyota for $3,500 at a dealership. Your best option is probably from a person near your town.
Try Craigslist.com
and verify the price with Kelly Blue Book:

Car dude is right. Recently craigslist has more and more scams than legal sales. http://www.autotrader.com is the best site. Both dealers and private owners list their vehicles on that site. It is the largest used car site in the world.
