i am looking to buy a car in about 3 months, i don’t want any month to month leases. i just want to be able to pay cash and own the car. sad to say, i know the economy is bad, and i feel one mans loss is another mans gain. and i know people can’t afford to keep their cars or people are getting their car reposed. so far i have been looking at craigslist and they seem to have decent amount of cars but yet i am looking for the ultimate steel, i have herd a little about government seize or repo cars or auction, and i was wondering if anyone have any testimonies on how they got a good price on a car. i am in the los angeles area, and i have a good amount of car knowledge, i can fix minor problems, or do minor tune up on a car, or if needed i can change the breaks. so i just need to know where can i get a really good car for 3000 or less or better yet waaaay less in the los angeles area. if you have tried a government auction or any auction i would like to hear your testimonies or if you know of anyplace in LA where they sell pretty decent cars for cheap then let me know, i would really appreciate it

  1. get it from an auction. not ebay, but go to any used car delaer and ask them to find one perfect car for u. usually they ask 300$ for their service. but will get for 3000$ a car, they usually sell for 4000-5000$

  2. Every month across the United States, thousands of vehicles are seized by different Government agencies (IRS, DEA, FBI) & Police departments and auctioned off to the public. Due to certain laws these vehicles are listed and sold at up to 95% OFF their original value. Many auctions start at $100. Government pre-owned/surplus vehicles are well maintained and are usually only 2-3 yrs old. These Deals are everywhere and not alot of people know about them. With these troubling times though they have become more populare and widely used from what i can see. I have been to normal car auctions and gov. auctions. Normal car auctions you pay more and there is a TON of junk. Witch im sure you know. Here is one of the most trusted gov auction sites. You can look up local or state wide gov. reposesions. And with the times now there is ALOT of them. Like you said its sad but one mans lose is anothers gain.
