I was wondering where can i find like impound cars so i can try to buy a decent car. Do the police impound sell cars as well? If so please let me know..

  1. You won’t find decent cars at impound auctions. If the car was worth anything don’t you think the owner would come back and reclaim it. The only cars that go unclaimed aren’t worth anything. Nobody gives up their good car for a $250 – $300 impound fee.

  3. It is listed in newspaper as each car impounded is sold at court house steps or such.Impound lots take car and sell to buy here pay here as people would buy back if worth anything. Seized cars are sold by tow company wholesale to same.

  4. The police aution in my town happens once a year – and they don’t advertise it too well. I only know about it when I drive by. There are a few decent cars and some crappy ones.

    You should call the local police stations to find out if they are having an auction soon.
